Rule of thumb for energy is air temperature should be 2F warmer than water temperature
Airflow over windows and skylights so there is no condensation
Kids like warmer pools. Looks like Olympic pools are the coldest.
Warming up the air actually decreases evaporation of the pool water. (their example was 80F water, 78F 50% rh vs 82F 50% RH)
all walls for pool facility need vapor barriers. on the outside of the inside surface?
smelling chlorine means its already high enough to cause damage? trichlorides rapidly off gasses, stays in breathing zone because of how dense it is. Need proper air distribution. 0.48 cfm per square foot of pool and wet deck area (3-6 feet from pool), 0.06 for remainder of area. apparently 0.48 includes the swimmers, 7.5 cfm additional per spectator.
pool needs to be at negative pressure. 0.05-0.15" wc. rule of thumb 110% of oa. Pool has contaminants in air and you don't want to smell pool in other parts of building.
4-6 ach in natatorium, 6-8 ach in spectator area, 8 ach in water park
don't put return right next to hot tub, hot chorlides will kill hvac equipment and rust fasteners, need it to cool down and mix with other air. Don't short circuit.
Apparently you can't use stainless steel hangers/fasteners, needs to be aluminum or galvanized steel? Maybe this is the other way around?!?
10-30fpm air at water surface, not higher. Supply at top, exhaust at bottom, chlorides sink so put return there.
Water features:
look up source capture.
